These mouthwatering bars make the perfect spur of the moment snack to fix your hunger attack! I have been baking these bars for several years. One morning I opened my oatmeal container for breakfast and stumbled upon the recipe. There, on the lid, was the recipe for these tasty bars.
In a pinch, we will purchase the Kashi Cereal Bars or Nature’s Own Fig Bars and those are a great help whenever life is busy. However, I try not to rely too heavily on packaged foods to feed my family. Whenever we cook from scratch or make a homemade meal we know the exact ingredients and can easily control the salt and sugar that is in our food.
These bars are a sweet treat the whole family will love! Enjoy!

I encourage you to try your hand at cooking something your family enjoys often from scratch. You will save money and have healthier ingredients. The less we have to rely on grocery stores and the more self sufficient we are, the better.
